I was vegan for five minutes

I haven't posted in a long time. Yesterday I had a migraine so I didn't do much and started thinking I need to start eating healthier again. Healthy eating equals less migraine headaches for me.
Was searching for something to watch on Netflix and came across "What the Health." This was a great documentary convincing me that a whole foods plant based diet was the way to go. I was all about doing this for about five minutes, until I realized by butter had to be cut out. In reality meat is not my favorite thing to eat so I really good to cut out most animal based foods. Is this really the healthiest way to eat, I am not totally convinced. After reading agruments for and against a plant based diet, I am still confused. I love to cook and feed my family healthy foods and also at times comforting food that aren't so healthy. Every once on awhile you just have to have a chocolate chip cookie!
So after much debate, I decided to create my own healthy eating plan. I don't want to stress over what to eat and what not to eat all the time but I do want to put more healthy foods into my body. I was always big on moderation. I know many nutritionists say moderation doesn't work but I think that depends on what health issues you are already facing. With my migraines I know I can have the occasional Bowl of Dorritos but if I would eat them several nights in a row I will be end up with a migraine. Hence moderation works for me. Not saying it's best for everyone, I am not a doctor or nutritionist. Just a mom trying to feed my family the best way I can without going crazy.
I am calling my meal plan diet craze the Mod Bod. Catchy, isn't it!!?? I will journal what I eat most days, fill you in on any exercise that I do and progress on how I feel health wise. How will you body change once you moderate what you put into it? Feel free to comment.
